I met Lynn 2 years ago when she listed a friend of mine’s house in the neighborhood in Bellevue. I was very impressed by the way she handled the transaction. We interviewed 3 agents when looking to sell our Somerset view home. Lynn far surpassed the others in terms of transactions on Somerset with over 19 in the preceding year. She also had a very strong, positive energy that demonstrated she was going to work hard for us and was capable of getting things done. You hire an agent expecting things to go smoothly, but I can’t stress enough the benefit to us of hiring Lynn, someone who knows what to do when things go wrong. We had hired our own stager; one we’d worked with previously and had done an amazing job for us. They were premium priced, and we had total confidence they would do a great job. We staged the home the day before listing as we wanted to get to market quickly. When we walked in after staging, we were just floored at the horrible job they did. The furnishings were cheap and many dirty, but more importantly, the staging downplayed the best features of the home (bringing the buyers eye to the view, helping the buyer see the best layout and flow), and actually made the fully renovated home look disorganized, chaotic and awkward. I thought it may delay our listing by weeks. I called Lynn in a panic as getting a new stager would be near impossible. I’d already spoken to my stager about my concerns and was openly laughed at for being upset (no exaggeration). She called them herself, and they were there the next day with the owner of the company (who drove up from Portland just for us) to personally restage it. I can’t stress enough the importance of having an agent that is influential in the area. Other vendors (in our case, the stager) are willing to help her because of her volume of business and reach of reputation, when they couldn’t care less about helping us, the client. Since we represent only one transaction, we mean very little to them. Lynn knows what to say to them, and how to say it, and is important to their future business. She can make all the difference when things go wrong. Lynn was there for us in minutes when we needed her. She was always positive and made us feel valued and competent. We met Lynn at one of her open houses in Somerset, we were impressed by the preparation and organization of the house. We have found many sales agents do not appear in open houses, but Lynn is different in that she showed the house by herself and answered all kinds of questions. Lynn brought a designer to our house to provide suggestions about how to prepare the house. Lynn gave us a timeline that is a guide to do the preparation. Before choosing a real estate agent, I conducted a lot of research to see who the best choice would be based on the investment they make into selling the property (time and effort, not necessarily financially) and how they promote their listings and what they have to offer: Lynn Eng-Lei had excellent rankings. Her listings were easily located, and her social media presence was strong, and I could tell Lynn put a lot of work into her listings. We spoke with Lynn and then met with Her at our home.
